As artists, the business side of things may not come naturally. Often artists find themselves having to learn as they go but that road can be long and arduous, filled with financial and career anxiety. Michele frequently provides Professional Development for Artists workshops to give artists the confidence and practical skills and knowledge needed to master the non-creative tasks vital to their careers. Areas she covers in these hands-on and participatory workshops include art administration, strategic planning, project development, and funding.

Since 2010, Michele Walther has been an advisor for artists and small businesses in the arts, her support serves to help them develop and organize sustainable finances and working conditions related to their artistic and cultural activities. Trained as a corporate lawyer, she specializes in strategic planning; grant writing and reporting (with artists and organizations receiving over 300,000 euros in funded projects and awards); production and project management; and contract review and negotiating. Venues her artists have exhibited include the Museum of Modern Art (New York), Jeu de Paume (Paris), the Venice Biennale and Whitechapel Gallery. A graduate of New York University School of Law, she moved to Berlin in 2018 after living the previous 8 years in Paris.
